Scripps Rewind
A lot of Altadenans are lamenting the loss of the Scripps Home for seniors as the replacement facility plans are being haggled over. Here are a few reminders of the beautiful old place. I took these photos on the last day the public was allowed to come in and remove plants and shrubs. Sad day. Now just an empty lot remains.

Sad indeed. A big part of my parents lives for many years gone. What happened to all the art and antiques that were throughout the home?

I’m glad you got these. And the poor old people were carted off to some god awful place in temple city or something. Can you imagine the shock of leaving this place?
I do believe the caretaker’s cottage was left standing.
