Caltech has an annual art show. Last year I was so excited to show my new scanography. Had my mentor Ed Martin and his wife Sandy there, my dear friends Michael and Irene from France, and my hubby. Didn’t win a thing. This year I didn’t make a big deal out of it. Just had Steve come for moral support, plus my coworkers, and hey, I won the judge’s grand prize. A very good day. Here’s a sample.

The Arboretum’s landscape encapsulates the history of Southern California in one location, ranging from prehistory to citrus growing and ranching. In the post-war period, the founding of The Arboretum, now a world class botanic garden and historic site, made the survival of the heart of Rancho Santa Anita possible.

Return from the Land of Aaahhhs

Sorry I’ve been away for so long. The fires really whipped us, then the busy season at work kicked in while we also took an incredible trip to Boston and NYC. I’ll be posting some of those pix here even though they’re not Altadena…

Here are a couple from a recent art show, Art on Palm, held in one of the most beautiful enclaves here, Wildwood Park. These homes were built as hunting lodges in the ’20s by Henry Green and are still as charming as ever. It’s like walking into a national park. Fabulous place.
